On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970), directed by Vincente Minelli and written by Alan Jay Lerner, is a ridiculous musical. It's a Barbra parade, and though it's all sort of fun, it's not made for one sitting. It's like a slice of fudge chocolate cake, but the kind that is so fudgy, you just can't handle more than three bites. I should also add that any Barbra movie has entertainment value...because, after all, it's Barbra.
